Privacy Policy

Effective Date: September 2026

Our Privacy Commitment

Christian Practice is built on radical data minimization and respect for your spiritual life.

1. Local-Only Content

Your personal reflections, journal entries, and private prayer intentions are stored exclusively on your device using Apple SwiftData. They are never transmitted to Cloudflare, logged, or read by anyone else.

2. Authentication

We support Sign in with Apple only. We do not collect passwords or build social advertising profiles.

3. Pray Together Anonymity

Community Prayer Moments contain only predefined structured topics. There are no public user profiles, photos, or messaging. Live presence counts reflect active connection count only and never broadcast participant identities.

If you join a shared prayer from the web without the app, we set one first-party cookie holding a random identifier, so that reloading the page does not count you twice. We store only a keyed hash of it next to that prayer. It is not linked to your name, your IP address or your device, and it is not used for anything else.

4. Audio & Microphone

The optional voice reminder feature records audio locally on your device for your own alarm. It is never uploaded to any server.

5. What We Store on Our Servers

To run the app across your devices we store: a one-way hashed account identifier derived from Sign in with Apple (never your name or email); your language, time zone and, only if you choose one, your country; which daily practices and journey steps you committed to and completed, and when; the prayer moments you create or join; your subscription status as reported by Apple; and, when you reflect, the difficulty you selected and any preset tags you tapped. The text you write and tags you type yourself stay on your device.

6. How We Use It

Only to provide the app: assigning your daily practice, showing your progress and streak, tailoring which themes you see, verifying your subscription, and showing anonymous community totals. We do not sell your data, show ads, or track you across other apps and websites.

7. Anonymous Leaderboard

Practice Leaders is off by default. If you turn it on, a system-generated alias, your points for the day and your streak are visible to other users. You can turn it off at any time.

8. Deleting Your Account

You can delete your account in the app under Settings → Delete account. This removes your practice history, journeys, preferences, prayer moments and reflection feedback from our servers, revokes the Sign in with Apple authorization, and clears reflections stored on that device. Deleting your account does not cancel an Apple subscription; manage it in your Apple ID settings.

9. Your Rights and Contact

You may ask for access to, correction of, or deletion of your data at any time by writing to support@christianpractice.app.
